It is now 3:35 AM and I am awake. I went to sleep last night at a decent hour after coming home from a great day at Glendale. But, I’m up for the day. I will probably take my daily nap this afternoon.
Our Revival services began last night and it was wonderful! For our Spring Revival, we are emphasizing various doctrines that we hold dear as Baptists. Anthony Baggett led us in some familiar hymns as Kristen Fowler played the piano. Songs such as, “Send A Great Revival in My Soul” , “Love Lifted Me”, and “Just As I Am” filled the Glendale Sanctuary. Now, I mean no disrespect to contemporary praise songs or choruses. But time tested hymns of our faith are fitting for a study of our doctrine.
Don Baggett delivered a powerful message from Exodus, Chapter Two entitled, “The Holiness of God.” God is Omnipresent. Omniscient, and Omnipotent. God is Love. God is Eternal. However, the basis of these attributes all derive from His glorious Holiness. I do hope you will make every attempt to join us tonight. If you can’t join us, please consider watching at http://www.facebook.com/GBCglen.
We had several people placed on our prayer list last night. Please pray for Scott L., Heather L., Trinity L., and Autumn L. They each have COVID-19. I pray for them like I would my own family. In fact, that should be the fervency of all of our prayers. Also, thank God that Henry R. got a good report from the cardiologist. Pray for Melvin S. as he is scheduled to have foot surgery this week. Danny B. has cancer. Jason G. had a seizure last week. Debbie M. has a biopsy scheduled for this week. Rita has Stage Thee cancer. Betty is taking radiation treatments. There are unspoken requests. ” In all things, pray…”
I am working on a couple of projects that I would like to share with you soon. But for now, know that you are special. It is now 4:05 AM and I am going to make a pot of coffee. 😀 I am glad to be your pastor.
